Harlem Needle Arts (HNA) would like to partner with a Taproot volunteer to fine-tune and launch our new website. After being offline for two years, our site is ready for a fresh start. We’ve already completed most of the design framework in Elementor WordPress and now need a skilled developer’s support to ensure the site functions seamlessly and is ready to go live. We are committed to working weekly from October through November, with the goal of launching by December 13, 2025 (if not earlier).
Harlem Needle Arts is dedicated to preserving, amplifying, and innovating the fiber, textile, and needle arts traditions of the African Diaspora. Our website is central to this mission—it is where we share exhibitions, document public art, highlight artists, announce programs, and connect with audiences locally and globally.

Our creative work around reaching audiences include Constant Contact-CRM; Instagram/Facebook post and ads; Eventbrite public launches and landing pages.

By having a Taproot volunteer with expertise, it will directly help us bridge the gap between recovery and growth, making it possible for Harlem Needle Arts to re-emerge online stronger than ever.
Our board has mandated that the new website be completed and live by December 13, 2025. As Executive Director and sole employee, I have cleared the next two months to focus on this project and ensure the site’s design flow and content are ready. Each Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. is reserved for site work, and I am happy to adapt to the Taproot volunteer’s schedule if another time works better.

I bring working knowledge of WordPress, having managed our original site, and the Elementor platform makes the process collaborative and user-friendly. Additionally, a team member is assisting on select weekends to keep momentum strong. With these preparations, we are fully committed to making the Taproot volunteer’s time effective and the project a success.
