Set up nonprofit tax processes, reconcile and tidy accounting records since our Q2 2023 formation, and prepare documentation needed to file any required back taxes. Specifics about accounts, software access, and records will be provided during volunteer interviews.

Accurate books and compliant tax filings will increase financial transparency and credibility, allowing leadership to focus on accelerating SCN2A research and educating families. This work will support fundraising and long-term sustainability for the foundation's mission.

We will work collaboratively with the volunteer and provide project context during onboarding. Details will be provided about current records and access so the volunteer can assess, recommend corrections, and document procedures. We commit to reviewing and implementing agreed recommendations.
