We're a small health literacy nonprofit whose mission is to help everyone understand, manage, and advocate for their health. We're looking for a volunteer to evaluate our current social media team, workflow, and content, then recommend a strategy for our channels that helps us increase awareness, attract volunteers, and connect more people with free health education.

Right now, we have social media volunteers who create posts based on ideas from one staff member. We know there's room to improve, but we need an outside perspective to assess what's working, what's not, and how to better structure our efforts to meet our goals.
You will directly support our mission of providing everyone with the information they need to understand, manage, and advocate for their health. Social media is where many people get their health information, so improving our strategy is important.

Additionally, we need help communicating how our work is different than other sites. When people read our resources, they remark on how friendly, accessible, and helpful our writing and content is. But this isn't coming across until someone is on our website.
To prepare for the project, we will provide you with our site map, current social media channel handles, and a description of our current workflow. You will work with our executive director, so you'll get direct feedback and quick access to anything else you need. Meetings and the timeline can be based on your schedule.
