A volunteer will review current tenant engagement and communication channels, assess shared spaces and resources, identify strengths and opportunities, and deliver a written community engagement plan with prioritized recommendations, low-cost activities, recognition ideas, and a short- and long-term implementation timeline.
Stronger tenant community and engagement will foster a more welcoming, collaborative environment that supports culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. This work will help practitioners connect, improve coordination of services, enhance practitioner wellbeing, and support training and growth for interns and therapists in training.
Droste will share office layout, tenant demographics, examples of current communications, and make staff and tenants available for interviews and feedback. The volunteer will co-create priorities with our team and we will discuss timelines and expectations during onboarding so recommendations can be implemented.

Organization Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible, affordable, and inclusive psychotherapy and trauma-informed counseling to New Yorkers in need. Rooted in the belief that true wellness comes from within, we are dedicated to empowering healing and resistance within each person we serve. We further this mission through compassionate, culturally responsive care and by investing in the future of mental health—offering comprehensive training programs and supporting the growth of interns and therapists in training.
