A focused PR strategy and media outreach plan to increase awareness and visibility. The volunteer will collaborate to define target audiences, craft core messaging, and produce outreach materials and templates. Specific channels and scope will be defined with volunteers.
Stronger PR will amplify the American Paragons Foundation’s mission and help attract opportunities, partners, and resources that support athletes’ employment, mentorship, housing, travel, and media visibility. In addition will attract more Team USA athletes to join the Foundation increasing their own opportunities and visibility of the non-profit. Volunteers will directly expand reach for underfunded Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
We will provide organizational background, existing materials, and staff contacts, commit to regular check-ins, and incorporate volunteer recommendations into our outreach. Details about availability, priorities, and timelines will be provided during volunteer interviews.

Organization Mission

The American Paragons Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded and led by Team USA athletes to create real, lasting stability and opportunity for athletes across all Olympic and Paralympic sports, especially those most underfunded and overlooked. Unlike many countries with government-funded Olympic programs, athletes in the United States navigate a unique landscape where training, competing, and building a life beyond sport often depends on private support. The American Paragons Foundation exists to help bridge that gap by providing our athletes with the resources, connections, and opportunities they deserve.
