Grant Prospect Research and Master Proposal Toolkit
As an international entity, the International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT) boasts a powerful global network. Most of our members are higher education faculty who can execute high-level research seamlessly. We have a robust, built-in infrastructure for project implementation, including research scholars and vast school communities. However, our primary gap is a lack of specialized expertise in identifying and targeting US-based family foundations, corporate giving funds, and institutional grantmaking organizations.
Specific tasks we are hoping the volunteer will assist with include:
US-Funder Strategic Discovery: Identifying 8–12 US-based grantmaking organizations, family foundations, and corporate funders whose portfolios specifically prioritize global inclusive education, teacher training, and scientific research.
Comprehensive Funder Matrix: Developing a prioritized tracker outlining US application deadlines, average award amounts, geographical restrictions, and specific giving alignment criteria.
Master Proposal Boilerplate: Co-developing a compelling master grant narrative that effectively translates our academic rigor and vast network capabilities into a highly persuasive format tailored to the expectations of US grant reviewers.
We anticipate this project taking 6–8 weeks, respecting your timeline of 2–5 hours per week, with milestone alignment chats held via Zoom/Google Meet.
While we have an unmatched capacity to conduct research and execute impactful educational programs across our global school communities, our growth is bottlenecked by our limited visibility within the US funding ecosystem. Navigating the specific requirements of US foundations requires a specialized localized lens that our international academic network currently lacks.
The Impact of Your Talent:
By donating your expertise to this project, you will bridge the critical gap between world-class educational research and the resources needed to fund it. Your strategic insights will allow ICERT to:
Secure the capital necessary to scale teacher training modules and inclusive education workshops globally.
Bring innovative, scientifically backed educational methodologies straight to underserved school communities.
Empower our global network of research scholars to address critical, real-world societal challenges.
You will be giving our extensive network of educators the financial roadmap they need to turn research into widespread, life-changing public service. Help us scale our global educational impact!
To ensure this project runs smoothly, we have completed the following steps:
Full Internal Alignment: Executive leadership is entirely bought-in and has designated a single, responsive point of contact who will ensure less than a 24-hour turnaround time on all communications and drafts.
Consolidated Institutional Knowledge: We have prepared an onboarding drive for the volunteer that contains our organizational charters, previous programmatic case studies, curriculum outlines, and quantitative proof-of-impact data regarding our implementation network.
Ready-to-Deploy Assets: We have our academic frameworks completely mapped out. The volunteer will not have to design methodologies; instead, your time will be spent strictly on high-value strategy—mapping our existing research strengths to the specific eligibility requirements of US grantmakers.
Implementation Strategy: The outputs of this project will immediately be put to work. Once the matrix and boilerplate are locked, our internal committee of faculty researchers will immediately assume the administrative task of writing and submitting proposals for the upcoming US funding cycles.
